Annoucement...
I can't keep postponing to put our house in the market. My last dyeing day is July 9th. I can no longer accept any custom request including trim request anymore. We have to list the house soon and I need to pack up all my yarns and the rest of the house. I have stocked up for my July special stocking. I'm not sure how much I can dye during in the next few months but we have to see how it goes. I hope it will sell fast.

Stocking this month
It's going to happen tonight, March 10 at 10 PM EST at Knit Night congo.
One other news is we're preparing to list the house. It will take a while for us to pack because we just have too much clutter. It's going to take a month or two to list it. I'm not so sure how I'm going to do my dyeing, but we'll see. That will be the last I pack. Or I'll just put it somewhere but I won't be able to dye that much. I'm so sorry if I have to turn down any custom request. I'm juggling so many things at once at the moment.
I'm done with my table mats. I just haven't hemstich to remove it from the loom. Now I have to learn how to sew so I can sew the edge and cut them apart. The good news is I got an old leclerc loom for a steal. I haven't had the time to clean it up and put it together. I'm hoping to get the table mat off from the loom this weekend because I want to return the rental loom. I'm going to start my weaving again after I get my warping board/mill and maybe after packing.

My fiber arts journey continues
I've been wanting to try out weaving... have been waiting for the basic weaving class to open up. I finally picked up my rental loom and asked my friend to teach me how to weave since the class has been cancelled. There's so many things involved in the preparation before I can actually weave! I was surprisingly enjoying those tedious step involving sleying the reed and threading the heddles. Unfortunately I didn't have much spare time so I'm trying to weave a little bit every night.
Finished threading the heddle

I'm making dish towel or placemats. I'm not sure how thick it is. The yarn is only sugar and cream from walmart. I'm using 10 dent reed. The width of the loom is 18" and I'm using all of the space. Big mistake for first project.. LOL. I have to sley and thread 180 times! Well. Actually it's 178. For some reason I didn't have 180 slots. I'm almost finished with the first towel and I'm planning to make 4. RIght now I'm looking into getting a used floor room with at least 36". I want 8 shaft even though people said 4 shaft is good enough. I'm too lazy to buy and sell, so I want something won't outgrow me for a while.

Last stocking of 2010
I'm starting to prepare the last stocking. Most of the yarn is dyed (except 3 maybe). I might save that for new year. I'm trying to fulfill the ISO of 2 most requested colorways: Munki Sushi and Namibia. There'll be a TON available so I hope everyone will get what they want. I'm hoping to create more new colorways next year. I'm thinking to have 2 different stocking time, one before Christmas and one after Christmas.
I might also have one custom slot available, but it depends on how much I can get done.

July special stocking
Yes, it's the time of the year when we're going to have a special stocking again. There will be loads of yarn that I have accumulated before my babymoon. Yes, I'm still sorta in babymoon period... I haven't dyed in a while but will try to get into some kind of schedule and maybe dye a little and try new colorway and fibers. I'm still reskeining and will be taking pictures soon and hopefully can list everything by Wednesday, so check back to the store.

First stocking of the year
After a long break, I finally was able to reskeined all of the yarns that I want to stock and took some pictures as well. I'll be stocking today at noon at my own store (http://hyenacart.com/Yarnoodles/). There will be a wide variety of yarn and some yarns that was inspired by my baby girl. I would take a short break after this stocking and will be stocking the remainder of my yarns. I am hoping to go back to my dye pot as I'm trying to adjust my schedule with 2 kids (LOL)! I'm afraid I have to reduce my workload and stock less often.
Some of my recent custom (well, from 2 months ago) including selah whimzy that I mentioned last time.
Selah Whimzy 80%Merino 20% Silk
Mosaic Moon Vintage Daygown - superfine merino

Babymoon coming soon
Wow, I haven't updated this blog for 2 months! 10 more days before my due date... I have been dyeing a little bit in the last month or so. I didn't really fulfil my list because I've been busy knitting for the baby! I have some yarn for the wish list that I need to reskein and take pictures. Also I have planned to stock this month, so as soon as I reskeined and took some pictures, I'll list them in my HC. I'm no longer in any congo because I need some flexibility to stock whenever I can.
I've also signed up for Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower. You should check it out.
In the meantime... a few yarns that I've completed. I've also finished Selah Whimzy in merino/silk that is TDF! Picture is coming.. it's still damp.

Stocking tomorrow - Serenity Tree
Whew, time flew by and I didn't realize the amount of work for stocking. I finally was able to reskein all of the yarns for Tuesday stocking. I'm trying to give more quantity per colorway, either in same or different yarn base. Please come and visit Serenity Tree congo as we're doing a one-year anniversary celebration.
I've been spinning quite a bit too in the last few weeks. Finally the fatique is gone and I have more energy.
Some of the handspun...
Selah Neverland
This will be available at http://hyenacart.com/CharityStore/ on October 14.
WSK Iris, the main color was done a while ago, but I finally was able to wash and reskein the trim. This will go to Laura and she'll turn this into SMSS Handspun Pinafore.
I think I took the last spinning custom, will be completed approximately 1 month before my due date. I experienced carpel tunnel during the last month of my first pregnancy, so I'm afraid I'm going to experience that again. I will taking 5 months off from January thru May and will be just doing some here and there as time allows.

'Nother handspun yarn and stocking info
I've been picking up more spinning now. Not as fast as used to be but trying to make time for other things as well. Here's the last 2 (well, there're 3, but I haven't reskeined one). I got decent yardage.
Mosaic Moon Calleach - first fiber of the month
Elliebelly Rebecca's Kitchen in 19 micron superfine merino
After taking an extended dyeing hiatus, I'm back with a birthday stocking at the Giggling Guppy Congo. Please check it out. I'd like to offer some new yarns that I've never (or rarely) offered, new colorways, and yarn that suitable for newborn. These will be stocked on the 15th at noon.
Just want to point out that I'm closed for custom dyeing but I take some wish list in my yahoo group. Please indicate who you are and if I have some yarn that meet the criteria, I will offer them to those who is in the list first.

Last spinning FOs
I haven't spent too much time dyeing this last couple months. The morning sickness still lingers and who thougt that wet yarn just stinks! LOL. Hoping to get back to the dyeing groove soon. However, have been spinning some more, though slower, but I think I got so much yardage recently. Which means my yarn is no longer dense.. yay!
Here's some pictures..
